Baby update

I am 28 weeks today and so far it has seemed to go by fast, but I know I still have a while to go. My last doctor's apt went well, Declan is 2 pounds and in the 70% percent tile. My doctor says if he stays this way he will be about 7 1/2 pounds when he's born, if I go to forty weeks.
I have been able to exercise some lately which feels so nice! My back has been hurting so badly lately and working out has seemed to relieve some of that pain. I had to take the glucose test last appt and luckily very this looked good. I did find our that I am Anemic, which would explain my extreme lack of energy lately and my light headedness. But once I get my iron build back up and I know I will feel much better.
I have been having a blast getting clothes and baby things. I have been obessed with garage sales lately and have had so much fun finding him really cute clothes for 25 cents a piece. Can't beat that price, and I have gotten some other great baby items. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and finding him some great clothes.
Summer time I have been dying in the heat, but my air conditioning works well and I am grateful for that!

Nesting

Well, I am in full swing "nesting" phase. I was going crazy with all the things that I felt needed to be done, so I got a huge poster board and made list of all the items I wanted to get done. Well, I had a sudden and long winded burst of energy and got more that half of it done in a week.
I cleaned out the baby's room so it is no longer the storage room.
Organized and labeled all of our food storage.
Cleaned and organized the whole kitchen.
Put all of our Dvd's in Cd cases and made room for all our family journals.
Cleaned out our entertainment center.
Started the Declan's baby blanket(and it is turning out really cute)
Picked out paint for his room, the kitchen, living room and our bedroom.

It feels so good to have those things done and now I can focus on the fun stuff, like painting and decorating! I am getting very excited for his little man and have had a blast clothes shopping for him:) I still need to find my camera:( and then I can post pictures!!

Baby

Well, last time I made a post like this it may of been way to early but not this time. I am almost 16 weeks pregnant so it's completly safe to post now. I am due November 7. And I am excited about that due date! The baby will be here for the holiday's, so that should be fun. Doug is convinced it's a boy and even talks to it like he's a boy. Won't he be suprised if we are having a girl. We find out what we are having in two and a half weeks. I am amazed how fast the time has gone, and not being nearly as sick as last time has helped. I am beginning to feel better and I very grateful for starting to get my energy back. Because there is a lot to do to get our little place ready for a baby. Some people call what I am going through " nesting" , I just call it trying to get organized. I have done some big projects already but I can't find my camera right now so as soon as I do I will post about it.
Anyways, I will post all the baby updates on here, especially once we know what we are having!

New Year!

So Doug and I were very excited for the new year. I think I was most excited, maybe I felt that it was a good way to put the past in the past and have a fresh start. We have set many goals for the year... Yes, in the past we have made goals and the next day not even remember what they were. But not this year, it year is our year! I made a huge chart and posted our goals on a huge poster in our bedroom. So far we have been working on them and it has been a good start.
My first personal goal is to finish a triathlon! I am very excited about it. My sister and Doug's sister and brother are doing a half marathon tomorrow and I wish I could of been there with them. I was unable to due to my surgery(after my miss carriage) and had a four week recovery time which left me not very much time to train. Not to mention since I was so sick with my pregnancy I lost a good amount of weight, so my doctor that I needed to gain some weight. Anyways, my triathlon is in March. I am doing it with some friends. It involves running 3 miles, biking 9 hours and and swimming a few laps. Should be fun!
My other personal goal is to clean, clean, clean.... And boy have I. Our guest bedroom was pilled with storage boxes and camping stuff. Two and a half years of marriage random stuff. So I was so tired of literally climbing over things to get other things. So I spend about five days and cleaned out the whole room! It is so nice. I have a place to sew and do crafts, and move around. Yippeeeeee!
My other goals I am still working on, I will keep you updated:)

Thanksgiving

Well, I must admit this is a post I did not want to make nor did I think I was going to have to make. At my nine week check up my doctor could not find a heart beat, but this can often happen early in pregnacy so he did some blood tests and another ultrasound and confirmed it was a miss carriage. This came as such a complete shock because I was so sick and my symptoms never tappered off at all, so I was so horribly sick when I should of been feeling better. My doctor said it was a missed miss carriage and my body never registered that it was a miss carriage. Since the miss carriage happened a while earlier we sheduled a surgery to get everything cleaned out so I could feel better and move on. I must say it had been a crazy eleven weeks full of sickness and emotion, but I feel that I got pregnant for a reason and it is all in the lords hands and I need to have faith to better understand it.
I am very grateful for my wonderful husband who took care of me every day and shows me his strength and faith everyday. I am grateful for my loving family for their love and support. And for my friends who helped take care of me, brought me dinner and cleaned my house, when I was stuck in bed. Although the thought of getting pregnant again makes me excited it also makes me feel nervous. There is always that fear that it will happen again and I am not looking forward to getting so sick again. My my body needs some time to recover and I am going to put my trust in the lord.

Baby time

Well, I think it is time to announce that we are having a baby!
We are so excited and can't wait till June to welcome our little bundle of joy.
I am eight weeks pregnant and up untill seven weeks I was feeling great, but oh how that changed. As soon as the seventh week hit oh boy did I start getting sick. Infact it came on so suddenly that my mom thought it was the flu. After throwing up almost none stop for a couple hours mom finally gave me some medicine to help me stop, and it worked for almost a day. I finally went into urgent care cuz I wad throwing up much and do dehydrated, and they were able to get me two ivys which helped and the doctor gave me some medicine to help me some. The doctor diagnosed me with Hyperemesis Gravidarum which is the worst form of morning sickness. Not fun, but the doctor said the baby is healthy and this will pass after my first trimester ends so I am counting the days.
I am not one for posting much on facebook so I will be posting all my updates and pictures on here.

the hike was about 10 miles down to the canyon we camped at. It was a beautiful hike but I had a pretty hard time with it. Doug and I got some old packs from Craigs list and I was in pain!!! My feet were so blistered up that I literally sad in the side of the trail and cried. But once I pushed past the pain it was so worth it and we had a great time. Since my feet were so torn up I had to take a helicopter out of the cannon. I feel kinda guilty because Doug hiked out but the helicopter ride was so much fun!!!! You can tell on my mother in law's face how fun it was!!! Doug had some blister's on his feet too, turns out his hiking shoes were way too big for his feet, so he hiked out in his water shoes. But his feet felt good, so it all worked out.

So I am sitting here reading and admiring other blogs and it is so fun to see what my friends have been up to and I look at my blog and the last time I have updated has been since January. Haha So here I am again at an attempt to up date a few of the thing Doug and I have been up to. We went with Doug's family and went back packing in Havasupi which is by the grand canyon. I don't have that many pictures on my camera but it was really beautiful.

Valentines

For Valentine's day, Doug uprised me and put a huge sign on our porch. Then when I walked into the house it was filled with huge heart balloons. Each balloon had a picture and on the back he wrote a reason why he loves me that went with the picture. It was so cute and will be a valentine's to rememeber.

New Year, New me

Well, as the New Year has approached, it has been a new beginning for me. Doug and I have decieded that it was time for me to quit my full time job as an assistant director at a day care, and continue with my hair career. I am nervous for this change but very excited. I will have more time to post some pictures and more regular up dates. We have some fun trips coming up so I will post on those some. And Hawaii is stil coming... Last time I went to post my computer was acting weird so I have not posted those yet. But soon...

Well, I have caught the sewing bug and I have been keeping buzy. I went down to the garment district in La and got fabric. I can't believe I live so close and can get such great fabric and at such a great price!! I have started my first quilt, and am tackling it on my own. I can't wait to see how it will turn out. Doug wanted a quilt we would use in our living room, but I fell in love with all the girly colors, so I will make Doug one when I am done with this.

My sister in law came up with the idea to create a hair blog, so I did!! It is a great way to show some of my work, and a place where my clients to get some ideas.

Doug and my Birthday's are nine days apart, so it is fun to celebrate together. For his Birthday we went to Briganti, and Italian resturant we like in Pasadena! It was fun

For the 4th, Doug and I wengt down to San Diego. We had a great time, the fireworks went off in Five different places on the harbor, and we sat right on the edge of the harbor. It was beautiful!

Summer Fun

We went boating and I tried wake boarding for the first time. I could not get up, but there were some close calls. Next time, I will get it. Doug got up and had fun!!

Near the top, you have to climb up the side of the granite mountain. There are chains that you have to go up to get to the very top. It was such beautiful view.

We had a wonderful time in yosemite!! The weather was perfect and we had a great campsite. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, it was really crowded. On our hike, there was so many people on the trail. It was a 18 mile hike and it was sooo hard. Once we got to the top, all the pain was worth it.

Well we did another training hike, on a beautiful Mountain called Baten Powel. It was only eight miles (better than the usual 13), but the first Four miles were up the side of the mountain. It was a good workout and we all had a good time. When we had about a mile left til we reached to the top we discovered the trail was covered in snow, ,so we had to blaze our own trail and literally trek through the snow. Going up it proved to be a challenge but coming down I sat on my jacket and slide down. That was the best part! Overall the hike was the most challenging I have ever done, but I felt great after and was proud of myself for getting through it(with some encouragement with Doug of course).

We have been married for almost eight months and although that is not super long, it seems as if time has gone by so quickly. I thought it would be fun to post some of our honeymoon pictures. We went on a cruise to Mexico. It was Doug's first cruise and I think that was all it took to convince him how wonderful cruises are.
